Never Judge a Book By It's Cover

Updated: Dec 29, 2017

Hi Loves! I'm hoping everyone had a Merry Christmas! My Christmas was great, spent with my beautiful family. 2018 is right around the corner and I don't really have any New Year resolutions, just to be happy. I posted sometime back that I was depressed & had gained 20lbs. One of the responses I got kind of bothered me. The person said "What does someone in your position in life get depressed about? You seem to be living a good life." Well...I'm human first of all. I also live that thing called LIFE. I don't know any perfect people. I also don't post everything I go through on social media. Personally, I don't think anyone should. But, just because it looks great on the outside, doesn't mean it's great on the inside. Remember, everything that glitters ain't gold!

In 2017 I was diagnosed bipolar 2 along with depression & anxiety. I'm not ashamed of it either. It's LIFE! I feel God gives his toughest battles to His strongest soldiers. So every day I fight to be happy. To look at me you'd never know right??? So, don't judge others by what you think it is. You never know what a person is dealing with and please don't feel bad for me because I am BIPOLAR, FIERCE & FABULOUS!!!! SMOOCHES!!💋 #blogger #loveblogging #mentalhealthwellness

Thank you so much for your transparency Coko. I have had to deal with depression and anxiety over the past year and a half. It's been a journey but I am definitely in a much better space than I once was. God has been the biggest key, then meditation & yoga and then finally learning how to focus on knowing and loving myself and letting go of the idea that I can control everything. And you're right, at the end of the day, you never know what someone is going through and we all go through our own "stuff", so that judgement crap needs to stop. Sending you light and love - always!!

I definitely understand where you are coming from....I also struggle with anxiety/depression for years. A lot of people don't understand mental illness because its not an illness that is physical but the brain is an organ also and you have to keep the brain healthy just like any other parts of your body. Its so great to see that you are loving yourself and life despite of!! Be blessed!!

I agree with u, u shouldn’t judge a book by its cover or don’t judge nobody u don’t know what they are going through or what they been through.
